  • Flier: Probably part of the 'after' phase - include top tips etc. Include in rationale about why you chose certain size of flier etc.

Class: Feedback from Tristam

  • Play with the aesthetics, style and perspectives
  • Needs better body copy on poster
  • If going to do monopoly, should use that typeface.

Week 2: Tuesday

15. September 2015

Week 2: Tuesday class

Lecture, review of homework and 1 on 1 with Tutor

After the lecture, where the Animal Farm examples and Anatomy of Design were reshown from Ihi and Wehi, we headed back to class to lay out our current concept ideas and thumbnails.

Genevieve was focusing on tradtional board games such as Scrabble, cards etc., while I focused on iconic video games such as Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Sonic, Pacman, etc.

She received a post-it note, in which a peer wrote the the Scrabble idea was "Super cool". I got a post-it note saying that the "Mario rescues Peach" that could be translated into "Neighbour rescues Neighbour in emergency" was one of my best ideas. So we could go either way with the idea of a "game night"

After this, Gen and I were working further on our concept and we talked to one of our Tutors to get her feedback. She thought that our game concept had potential and we have to keep exploring further to fuse "emergency" and "game night" together.
