Introduction to Koha, the brief, Simpson's activity and the choosing of teams.
Koha
Koha is a gift freely given. It takes ideas of gift, of reciprocity and exchange and examines how design/art can contribute to wider community networks.- How can you acknowledge your clients or your collaborators or communities you have worked with through your creative work?
- How can you cement and nurture ongoing relationships through giving something back or giving something away (whether that be a physical object, or your time or expertise)?
- How might you celebrate the outcomes for all parties involved?
Our task is to develop a trans-media campaign that promotes and facilitates a community event. The event resource page will include a range of promotional material that can be downloaded by individuals in order to initiate their own community event. This will be designed in teams of two.

Simpson's Activity
In teams we were given a Simpsons character and had to analyse and come up with ideas on how the character would respond to in terms of the Neighbours topic. My team got given Homer. He:
- Is lazy, crude, overweight and apathetic
- Hates the water department
- Surprising depth of knowledge
- Loves TV, beer, pork chops, donuts and honey roasted peanuts
- Has a fear of hard work
- Short attention span
Our groups two final A3 ideas:
Choosing Teams
Corina and I both have high work ethics, aim high, and keep up with the work load every week, so we felt like we would work well as a pair for this project. We both have different strengths in different areas of design, so we complement each other nicely. Plus we new of each other before this project began, so we already knew we would get along well.
